In our first lesson, we will look at how we can extend the current array of Components available in the BackOffice with your very own Component. In the process we will cover subjects such as Component, Property Attributes, Component Relations and the Default Rendering provided by the SEEEMS Framework.
By looking at the two pictures below, you can get a feeling of the initial content of our BackOffice and the corresponding FrontEnd. As you might notice, our BackOffice consists only of a template with three areas and a main menu, each of which is empty. This is also reflected in the picture of our FrontEnd which shows the very basic layout of the website. Now our job will be to add our own Component to the BodyArea.
